Depression is a common mental health condition showing up in our lives with a variety of mental and physical symptoms. Although many of us feel down every now and again, depression is a lot more than that. Living with depression effects not only sufferers but also the people around them. And despite this people with depression may take a long time before seeking help. This is especially the case if they fear rejection or ridicule. And sometimes it simply fear of facing the reality of depression and the underlying issues.
Counselling for depression is as and in many situations more effective than medication. It offers an opportunity for you to talk to someone who won’t judge or ridicule you; a safe and confidential space for you to explore your own thoughts and feelings and or the situation you find yourself in – all at a pace that suits you.
